Operations Technician

SUMMARY: Support for issues escalated from Tier 1 and Quality Management.  Operations is responsible for all aspects of managing escalated tickets, from ticket intake until resolution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes but are not limited to:
  • Troubleshoot complex client application, integration and environment issues escalated from Tier 1 and NOC (Network Operations Center)
  • Manage trouble tickets by prioritizing, researching and resolving tickets, including interacting directly with clients as needed.
  • Manage processes through powershell, batch files and task scheduler
  • Perform database updates, schedule and execute jobs, troubleshoot worker processes and research database issues encountered in managed environments
  • Work with IT to troubleshoot and resolve database access and performance issues.
  • Monitor system details within databases, including stored procedures and execution time, and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Participate in the 24x7 on-call  rotation for application support of production related issues.
  • Work with development to resolve root cause tickets in a timely manner
 
QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS
  • 1+ years SQL Server experience, including T-SQL, SQL Server 2012+.
  • Understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and best practices.
  • Excellent technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server operating systems version 2012+
  • Ability to conduct research into database issues, standards and products as required.
  • Experience with related technologies such as IIS, .NET, etc.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Technical support experience 
 
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION WILL BE GIVEN FOR THESE SKILLS:
  • Experience with CRM databases and data structures.
  • Exposure to .NET, and/or other web development technologies.
  • Advanced SQL Server 2016+
  • Experience with highly available SQL Server environments.
  • Insurance industry experience.
